Our Team

A native of Northeast Kansas, Jake has worked in public accounting in the area for the last eight years. In August of 2017, Jake purchased the practice of Marianne Schmitt, CPA to expand his existing service area. The new combined firm provides many expanded services that will suit clients in many industries.

Jake met his husband Matt in college and have two children Kiara and Randee. He enjoys trying new food and experiences, exercising, and reading.

Marianne is a respected tax professional with over 40 years of experience in public accounting.  She sold her practice to Jake Wisdom in 2017 and is continuing servicing the strong client relationships built over the years.   She grew up on a farm in northwest Kansas near Oakley and is a graduate of Kansas State University. 

She and her husband Mike enjoy traveling and attending K State football and basketball games.  Marianne enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time playing and crafting with their granddaughters. 

Shelby Meenen joined our office in December 2017. She grew up on the family farm south of Dorchester, Nebraska. Shelby graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University, earning a degree in Exercise Science. Her and her husband Kyle were married in October of 2016 and made their home south of Hiawatha. Kyle and Shelby have a son, Cash, who was born in January 2019. Besides spending time with Kyle and Cash, Shelby enjoys traveling, baking, shopping, fishing, gardening, and visiting her family back in Nebraska.

Nicole (Niki) Boswell is a Life Science graduate from Kansas State University. She grew up on the East Coast, calling Glen Burnie, Maryland her home for most of her childhood. She met her Husband Troy in college and they have four children, Tyler, Emma, Cameron and Nola. She enjoys good food, coffee on the lanai, creating art and family time together. You can catch her coaching our local swim team too.

Carrie Potter joined our team in November 2017. She grew up in Chanute, in the southeastern corner of the state. She and her husband, Bryan, met at Kansas State University, where she graduated with degrees in Bakery Science & Management and Food Science. Through the years, various opportunities have brought her to bookkeeping and to us. Carrie and Bryan have made their home in Hiawatha for 18 years, with their three sons: Tannim, Jonas, and Beckett. She enjoys making, sharing, and eating foods of all kinds; creating fabric crafts; watching bad movies and great television; and trying to keep one step ahead of her family.
